This country accommodation is located in a unique location, surrounded by pristine nature, in the Colombian Andes at an altitude of 2,000 meters. It is a 10-minute walk from the town square of the colorful and traditional town of Salento, one of the most welcoming towns in Colombia, nestled in the coffee-growing cultural landscape of this heritage municipality.

Facilities

The Ecoresort is located on one hectare of land with excellent views. It is a 40-minute drive from the airports of Pereira and Armenia, which receive daily international flights. It is an ideal hotel for couples seeking the tranquility of nature, travelers who love birdwatching, mountain biking, hiking, and high-altitude excursions. However, we also welcome families with children who want a different experience in this wonderful setting. We have facilities and areas where children can play quietly, while adults enjoy the greenery, a cozy chat around the fireplace in the lounge, breakfast in our spacious dining room, a visit to our organic garden, or a walk along our Eco-Trail that runs throughout the property.

Surroundings and Activities

Cocorá Valley:

Salento is known as the birthplace of the Wax Palm, Colombia's national tree, and boasts a wide variety of tourist attractions, all closely linked to nature observation. Our traditional "Willys" will take you to the Cocorá Valley Natural Park, where you can admire the spectacular landscape, take ecological hikes, and hike on horseback or mountain bike.

Los Nevados National Park

Salento is also the gateway to Los Nevados National Park, where more than 335 different species of birds and more than 350 different species of butterflies have been observed. Trekking trips are organized to one of the highest peaks in the country: Nevado del Tolima (5,220 m), an active volcano located in the Central Andes Mountains of Colombia. High-altitude excursions depart directly from the Cocorá Valley and last three or four days.

Coffee Farm / Finca Cafetera

We also recommend visiting a Colombian coffee farm, where you can take a Coffee Tour and observe coffee production from harvest to tasting.

Horseback Riding Excursions

Salento is a town where time seems to have stood still, where farmers still enter the main square on horseback. It's essential to explore some of the many nature trails on horseback to explore these wild landscapes and take the opportunity to observe the many bird species that live in the area.

La Carbonera

On this activity, you'll discover the palm forest in La Carbonera, also known as the Palm Sanctuary, where you'll find up to 600 times more wax palms than in the Cocora Valley.

Mountain Bike

We have several mountain bikes available for rent, as Salento is a fantastic mountain biking area in Colombia. Our small, beautiful town is surrounded by lush green mountains with scenic biking routes.
